what was Sentinel Housing Association looking for? 

Initially, the association required a team to help speed up the reinstatement of empty properties. We were soon requested to deliver a repairs and maintenance service, too.

how did we help?

Setting up an office in the heart of the community, training and employing local people has been a contributing factor for success.
Since beginning the contract, the time taken to repair and redecorate empty properties has reduced to almost half the national average as calculated by the Housing Corporation. That's just 3.3 weeks key to key. This faster turnaround time has enabled people to be housed sooner. It's also improved rental income for Sentinel, so everyone benefits. 

 

The scope of our work has also since extended to repair and maintain 10,000 homes comprising sheltered housing, low-rise flats, semi-detached and terraced houses. The team's high quality of workmanship, can-do culture and focus in contributing towards providing a better standard of living for residents has ensured the contract's success.
