coatings
There's a coating of almost any type of ceiling, and they're available in any British Standard colour. There are also two finishes; matt and one that's supplied in a 20% gloss.
The coatings are tested by independent laboratories and carry a Class 'O' fire rating to BS476: Part 6:1989 and BS476: Part 7:1987. Tests have proved that the coatings reduce the burn rate and smoke toxicity levels when compared with an aged or painted tie, which means that they further improve your buildings existing fire protection measures.
In fact, when exposed to the equivalent of ten years' natural light during testing, coated ceiling tiles performed the best over new tiles and ones that were painted.
